I recently received word from the Professional Photographers of America that I am now a Certified Professional Photographer!. To earn this certification, I first had to pass a 100-question written exam on the technical aspects of photography - lighting, lens and camera choice, processing images, color theory, and things like that. Then I had to submit 20 of my images from real customers' portrait sessions for review by a panel of judges made up of Professional Photographers.
